Kahurangi Dance Group came to help Manawanui.
Here they are performing the poi to the waiata "Moe Mai Rā."
MOE MAI RA
This waiata is dedicated to Izy Dawber
and her family. Izy was a student of Ngā Rākau e Rua but died suddenly earlier this year.
Izy suffered from a rare debilitating condition for the 14 years of her life
and will be dearly missed by all kaiako and tamariki.
This song speaks of Izy as
the beautiful flower and her freedom from the things that once restricted her
here on earth. It is a reassuring message of love for her and her whānau. Moe

E te putiputi ko Izy
Te tino taonga koe
Haere haere haere atu ra
Anei matou o hoa kura e
